Lamar Odom Leaving the Dallas Mavericks

New Dallas resident Lamar Odom will soon be packing his bags again.

The NBA player released a statement today explaining that he will "step away from the team" effective immediately, reports TMZ.

According to ESPN, Odom has not been cut and will be listed as "inactive" for the rest of the season.

Odom added, "I'm sorry that things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs' organization, my teammates and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship."
